Say aaniin to our dagwaagin/biboon waabaaso [faded] Based in Tkaronto collection.Introducing our new colours for the seasons:bangishimon [sunset]mamaandaamiinikaan [ lilac]makade [ black ]The name Toronto is based off the Mohawk word "Tkaronto". This translates to where the trees are standing in the water. As an Indigneous company, we are proud to be TKARONTO based. We created this design to symbolize that Tkaronto is where Toronto got its name. Symbolizing the trees as the current Toronto skyline with the city reflection in the water - visualizing what Tkaronto means.
The 14,000 "BC" in the design stands for "before colonization". We hope you enjoy this design and feel proud reclaiming Tkaronto and starting the conversation of the origin of Ontario’s capital.
