makwa [Bear] - anishinaabemowin

"Mawka is the very first word I learned in Anishinaabemowin. Bears are courageousprotectors and healers. Their knowledge of plants and medicines is essential to theirsurvival. These selfless guardians protect the life of their communities and lovedones. There are so many things that can be learned from these beautiful creatures."
