kokom scrunchies
Kokom Scrunchies is a family-run Indigenous business founded by Mya Beaudry, an Algonquin youth from Kitigan Zibi Anishinabeg First Nation. Mya started Kokom Scrunchies at just 9 years old, inspired by the strong women and role models in her life. In the Algonquin language, “Kokom” means grandmother—a tribute to the matriarchs who guide and inspire our community. Each scrunchie from the core collection is named in honour of an Indigenous role model, and new designs continue to celebrate inspiring individuals throughout the year. Kokom Scrunchies now offers even more products such as; lanyards, shoelaces, ribbon skirt kits and our new colouring storybook.
